Important!
The only tram line from Krakow Main Railway Station to Collegium Novum is no. 14 (direction: Cichy Kącik). Get on at Teatr Słowackiego 01 stop (in Lubicz Str.), get off at UJ/AST 01 stop. The ride takes 8 min.
Due to roadworks, the section of Karmelicka Street from Bagatela Theatre to Garbarska Street will be closed to tram and car traffic. The works will also cover the crossroad of Karmelicka, Podwale, and Dunajewskiego Streets.

Accessibility
Collegium Novum is wheelchair accessible (from the entrance in Gołębia Street; please, ring the doorbell to call the porters) and has accessible toilets. All floors can be reached by lift located on the left, next to the stairs. The lift is accessible to wheelchair users from the street level through the side entrance in Gołębia Street. The main entrance to Collegium Novum faces the park (Planty).
- Aula (the lecture hall) is on the 1st floor: turn right
- Room 30 is on the first floor, at the top of the first flight of stairs.
- Room 52 is on the second floor, at the top of the second flight of stairs.
- Room 56 is on the second floor, in the corridor on the right from the top of the second flight of stairs.
- The refreshments space (coffees, snacks and lunches) is on the 2nd floor, above the Aula.
Faculty of Polish Studies buildings in Gołebia 18 and 20 are accessible to wheelchair users with a ramp provided by the doorman, who can be called with a bell at a height accessible to a person in a wheelchair. There are toilets available for people with disabilities, located in buildings no. 18 (ground floor) and no. 20 (4th floor, accessible by lift). All floors of building no. 20 can be reached by lift.
The conference rooms in Gołębia 20 are on the 2nd floor:
- Room 18 is on the right from the stairs, next to the toilets.
- Room 22 is on the left from the stairs at the end of the corridor.
The conference room no 42 (Multimedia Room) in Gołębia 18 is on the ground floor:
- enter the gate of 18 Gołebia Str and go through the hall,
- in the garden yard turn left and go through the iron cast gate
- take the first door on the left — room 42 is right on your left, opposite a coffee vending machine.

By rail and coach
Kraków Główny Train Station (Pawia 5A) and MDA Bus Station in Kraków (Bosacka 18) are located very close to the city centre. Adjacent to both buildings is a taxi rank and – within easy walking distance – tram and bus stops.
The journey to the main conference venue takes about 15 minutes:
• from Teatr Słowackiego 01 stop (ul. Lubicz, opposite Hotel Europejski): tram 14, to UJ/AST 01 stop, then walk to Collegium Novum in view
• or 20 minutes on foot

Bus and tram tickets
Tickets can be purchased aboard the bus or tram from a machine, or from ticket machines located at many stops. Please note that ticket machines on buses and trams can be cards only or cash only. Alternatively, you can purchase the ticket using the Jakdojade app for your smartphone (available on the App Store and Google Play).

By air
John Paul II Kraków Balice International Airport is situated approximately 12 km east of the main conference venue. Adjacent to Terminal 1 is a taxi rank and a bus stop: Balice l 1.
The journey to the main conference venue takes 25–40 minutes by taxi and 40 minutes by bus (no. 300 to Muzeum Narodowe + 550 m walk down ul. Piłsudskiego).
There is also a convenient train connecting the airport with Kraków Główny Train Station. The journey takes about 20 minutes (recommended). Train tickets are available on the train from the train conductors and from ticket vending machines on the platform (payable by cash or card).
By car
The main conference venue does not offer parking spaces in the car park, and is located within the A2 paid parking zone (Mon.–Sat., 10:00–20:00; 6 PLN/hour ), and in the vicinity of B30 and C8 paid parking zones (Mon.–Sat., 10:00–20:00; 5 and 4 PLN/hour respectively). Please note that the area is extremely busy and congested at all times. Additional parking is available in the underground car park of the National Museum in Kraków (accessible from Adam Mickiewicz Avenue) and on adjacent roads – all located within the A2 paid parking zone.
Parking in the zone must be paid by purchasing a ticket from a parking meter or using an application on your mobile phone (SkyCash, Pango, moBILET, mPay, City Park App).
Coffee breaks, lunches, and eating out
Coffee, tea, water and snacks will be available on the 2nd floor in Collegium Novum from 9:00am – 5pm in the coffee break space (above the Aula).
Hot lunches (regular, vegetarian, and vegan) will be served 2nd floor in Collegium Novum from 12:30pm – 14:00pm.
The conference venue is located in the heart of the Old Town. A variety of cafés, bistros, restaurants, and bars are located in the area. Highlights include:

Welcome reception will be held on Monday, 15 June, from 7:30 pm – 9:30 pm in Kawaleria restaurant, ul. Gołębia 4.

The symposium dinner will be held on 18 June 2026 at 8 pm in the Blessed James Hall and St Maksymilian Room at the Franciscan Monastery in Kraków, 2 Franciszkańska Street (entrance from the Planty side).
Points of interest
The conference venues are situated near the centre of Kraków and many of its iconic attractions – the buzzing Market Square with the Cloth Hall and St Mary’s Basilica, the green spaces of the Planty Park and the famous Wawel Castle. The Vistulan Boulevards will take you to Kazimierz, the former Jewish district, with its magical streets, while those fond of museums and galleries may wish to explore the recently reopened Princes Czartoryski Museum displaying da Vinci’s The Lady with the Ermine and Rembrandt’s Landscape with the Good Samaritan, or the 19th-century Polish art collection in the Cloth Hall, or hide from the heat in the underground museum underneath the Main Market Square. A special flavour of Kraków’s fin de siècle can be found in the Stanisław Wyspiański Museum as well as the Kraków Stained Glass Museum and Workshop, operating since 1902 – both of these attractions are located within ten minutes’ walking distance from the conference venues (though the latter only admits visitors at specific hours – if interested, please consult their website). Allegedly, there are more than 300 cafés, pubs and restaurants around the Main Market Square and Kazimierz, providing an excellent opportunity for exploring Kraków’s nightlife.
